Hang Curtains Near the Ceiling
Mount the curtain rod 10 – 15 cm below the ceiling, not directly above the window, and extend the curtain width 20 cm on each side of the window frame. The result is that the eye reads the window as larger than it is, and the ceiling feels higher.
Use a Mirror as an Extra Window
Place a large mirror on the wall opposite or adjacent to a natural light source. Here the mirror doesn't just reflect you—it reflects light and the view, doubling the sense of depth. Round and arched mirrors work especially well in narrow entryways.
